| Dear Sample,
What's been found in tea and processed meat? It's those pesky PFAs again!
Did you know that a whopping 97% of Americans are walking around with PFAs, aka FOREVER CHEMICALS coursing through their veins[1]?
>> Before you tap out - I have good news at the bottom of this email ⬇️ ⬇️ <<
These are part of a vast family of over 8,000 chemicals (and growing) that don’t break down in our environment.
This means they get into our food/water, may accumulate in our bodies, and are linked to a whole host of unwelcome health problems like hormone imbalance, fertility issues, thyroid problems, certain cancers, weight gain, and more. 😱 |

| |
| Ever wondered why shedding those extra pounds feels like an uphill battle, only for them to quickly sneak right back?
It’s not your fault – those forever chemicals in our bodies may be partly to blame!
Previously, they were known to be commonly found in non-stick cookware and tap water in the US (almost 50% of American tap water contains PFAs)[2].
However, a recent report found that certain foods can increase our exposure too! |

| |
| According to a recent study, here are some ‘surprising’ sources[3]:
❗ Processed meats: These are more likely to be exposed to multiple sources of PFAS contaminations.
❗Food from fast-food restaurants: Pizza, french fries, and burritos were linked to higher PFAS when consumed from fast-food restaurants, but not when they were prepared at home.
❗ Packaged food: Eating WHOLE nuts & seeds was associated with a lower level of blood PFAS levels. However, 1 additional serving of seed or nut butter was associated with higher blood PFAS levels - this is probably due to the processing and packaging of nut butters (usually in plastic).
❗ Tea bags: Drinking 1 additional serving of tea was related to a 25% increase in PFAS blood concentrations. The authors felt that the plastics and glue used in the tea bags were the likely source of contamination and not the tea itself.
❗ Bottled drinks: Certain beverages like bottled water and sports drinks are associated with higher PFAS, while tap water showed lower PFAS levels - surprising given 50% of US tap water contains PFAs.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed? I get it. 🥴
💪 But here's where we channel fear into action; worry into empowerment.
Our bodies have detox organs, but they were never designed for today's chemical onslaught.
Let's help them work better! |

To your vibrant health,
Dr Viv
P.S. We cannot avoid toxins 100% - instead of letting news like this make us nervous wrecks, we can learn how to reduce our exposures (inside my course) + optimize our detox organs (also in my course) so they can help us eliminate unavoidable toxins efficiently!
Snag that $200 off and I can't wait to see you inside! |
